TAIPEI AMPA 2012
April 11-14, 2012
The Taipei AMPA Show is an annual auto trade show held in Taiwan exhibiting various auto-related products, parts, components and accessories under one roof. It is organized by Taitra. This year, MD Juan participated in this trade show which has a vintage military jeep and a mini military jeep, both with MD Juan body kits and parts, as the centerpieces of the Philippine Pavilion.
Founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is the foremost non-profit trade promotion organization in Taiwan. Jointly sponsored by the government, industry associations, and several commercial organizations, TAITRA assists Taiwan businesses and manufacturers with reinforcing their international competitiveness and in coping with the challenges they face in foreign markets.
MD Juan Enterprises is a member of the Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (MVPMAP). It has been joining the Taipei AMPA since 2009 under the sponsorship of the Department of Trade & Industry and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
MECO also organizes B-to-B meetings with possible suppliers and customers for the Philippine delegation in Taiwan. This expands the database for customers and suppliers for OE parts, raw material and machineries for the respective company participants.
In past AMPA Shows, M.D. Juan Enterprises was able to develop new dealerships and customers from around the globe and also met probable suppliers of raw materials and non-metal Jeep parts. It was a great opportunity to break into the export market, with the Asian region as the stepping stone. This is what made joining the AMPA show this year more exciting.
The Philippine Pavilion showcased the products of eight export-oriented MVPMAP member-companies. This year, M.D. Juan Enterprises brought in the MB Willys Jeep with MD Juan body kits and parts as well as the Mini MB jeep, both crowd drawers!
This early, members of the MVPMAP are planning to join the 2013 AMPA in April next year to showcase their respective new products, innovations, machineries and new processes which they can offer to the market through this exhibition.
